Special prices on ferry tickets for our students
Students of the ABC Elba Language School can compare timetables, fares and offers of all four companies and book at the best price. The tickets will be sent to you by email, you will only have to print them and present yourself directly at the boarding at the port of Piombino, on the day and at the established time.
We reiterate the advice to buy the ferry ticket as soon as possible, because all shipping companies increase prices based on the filling of the ship, therefore the earlier you book and the more you save.
For those arriving by car
You can get to Piombino very quickly using the Livorno – Grosseto highway, which runs parallel to the Aurelia. Exit at Piombino-Venturina and using a last stretch of road of great communication, following the road signs, you will easily reach the port.
At the entrance of the port you will find yourself in front of the barriers with tollbooths who will ask you to show the ticket and in case you don’t have one they will direct you to the ticket office, situated on the left side of the parking to purchase the ticket for the car and passengers.
For this reason, we strongly recommend, especially if you want to embark the car, to buy the ticket online from home and possibly also well in advance in order to book the ticket at the best price.
All companies in fact implement dynamic prices, this means that according to the filling of the ship the rates increase. Moreover, already owning the ticket will allow you to go directly to boarding, saving time and queues.
In the station there are the ticket offices of the 4 shipping companies, a bar, a restaurant, a newsstand and a toilet.
In the vicinity of the pier you will be asked for your ticket which will be scanned with the bar code and your ferry will be shown (Blu Navy, Elba Ferries, Moby, Toremar).
At the entrance of the pier you will find the totem with the name of the company and the departure time. The employees of the shipping companies (easily recognizable by the phosphorescent colored jackets) give you all the information you need for embarkation.
